About Alex Burgos

Alexandre Burgos is a proud West Side resident, community leader, and champion for change for running for the Erie County Democratic Committee. Alex Burgos believes that Buffalo isn't just the City of Good Neighbors, but the City of GREAT Neighbors. Alex always wondered what it meant to be a great neighbor, over the years Alex has discovered what it meant. It means providing people with all the resources they need to live long, healthy, joyful lives and building stronger communities.

Building stronger communities not only became Alex's mission, it became who he is, and he has years of advancing that mission - both personally and professionally. Before running for office, Alex advanced his mission of building stronger communities through his career at MOCHA Buffalo and Trillium Health, advocating for the most vulnerable communities. In addition, Alex volunteers for various community efforts focusing on racial health equity. Alex's dedication to the community has been recognized throughout Western New York, by Buffalo Business First (30 Under 30 2022 recipient), Buffalo State College, and the Buffalo Sabres.

Alex was born and raised in Buffalo, the son of a military veteran/business owner and a lifelong educator. Additionally, Mr. Burgos is a SUNY Empire State College's School of Psychology graduate.
